Privacy Policy for Roadory

1. Information Roadory processes

Camera connection and file information

Roadory checks network availability and reads the current Wi-Fi gateway address to find the dash cam. You may also enter a local camera address in settings. When appropriate, a successfully connected address is saved on your phone for later connections. The app does not ask you to enter your Wi-Fi password.

The camera supplies live images, video and photo files, thumbnails, connection and memory-card status, and available file details such as names, dates, sizes and camera positions. Roadory uses this information to show the camera view, organize the file list, play recordings and download the files you select. Media may contain people, voices, number plates or location details captured by your dash cam. Roadory does not analyze this content to identify people or build a location history.

Connection and camera-control requests travel to the dash cam on the local network. Roadory sends the phone’s current local date and time to set the camera clock. Browsing or downloading may temporarily pause camera recording, which resumes when you return to the home screen. If you confirm the memory-card formatting action, Roadory sends that request to the camera; this erases the recordings and photos on that card.

Downloads, settings and temporary data

Files you download are kept in Roadory’s private app storage. Roadory uses their filenames, file sizes, file dates and available capture information to display your saved files. Thumbnails and connection state are cached in memory to keep browsing responsive. A download can create an incomplete temporary file while a transfer or retry is running.

Locally stored preferences include a camera address you have chosen to remember. Advertising services also maintain consent-related information and SDK storage, as described in section 3.

Technical information

Roadory keeps a limited in-memory log of connection, playback and download events to handle errors. It can include event times, error categories and file paths; the app masks certain sensitive values such as local IP addresses and password-like fields. This log is not automatically uploaded to us and has no user-facing export feature. Roadory does not integrate a separate analytics or crash-reporting service. Google’s advertising SDK can process its own diagnostic and interaction data, as described below.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your question and resolve the issue. Please do not send Wi-Fi passwords or private recordings unless they are necessary for the request; remove personal details from any material you share.

2. Permissions and device access

Roadory does not request access to your phone’s camera, microphone, GPS location, contacts, calendar, messages or call history. The camera images and any recorded audio come from your dash cam, not from recording with your phone. Advertising services may estimate a general location from your internet IP address.

You can manage Local Network, photo-library and tracking permissions in iOS or iPadOS settings. Declining photo-library access prevents saving to the photo library but does not remove downloaded files from Roadory.

You can manage Roadory’s Android permissions and advertising privacy controls in your device settings. On Android 9 and earlier, declining storage permission prevents saving to the gallery; it does not remove downloaded files from Roadory.

Manage Roadory’s network, media-saving and advertising privacy controls in your device settings. Declining the permission needed for media saving prevents that action but does not remove downloaded files from Roadory.

3. Advertising and privacy choices

Roadory uses Google AdMob to display native advertisements on the home screen. Google and advertising partners involved in serving an ad process information to deliver and measure advertising, provide advertising analytics, diagnose performance issues and prevent fraud. We do not supply your dash cam recordings, photos or saved camera address as advertising content.

As described in Google’s SDK disclosures, advertising data can include:

• Your internet IP address, which may indicate an approximate location.
• Device or app-related identifiers and an advertising identifier when available.
• Ad impressions and interactions, and usage signals such as app launches, taps or video-view events.
• SDK and app diagnostics, such as crash information, launch performance, hangs or energy use.

Roadory uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to check consent status and show a privacy message when required. The advertising SDK is initialized and ads are requested only after UMP reports that ad requests are permitted; this does not always require an affirmative consent action in every region. The consent service itself communicates with Google to determine and record the applicable choices.

When the service requires a privacy-options entry point, Roadory shows “Privacy options” in settings so you can revisit your choices. Ad personalization and availability depend on these choices, device settings, your region and Google’s rules. Non-personalized advertising can still involve data processing.

4. Saving, sharing and other services

Save to Photos: selecting this action copies a downloaded file to your device’s photo library. Photo-library backup or synchronization services may then process that copy according to your system settings and their policies.

Share: Roadory passes the file you select to the system sharing interface. If you choose a recipient or another app, that destination handles the file under its own terms and privacy policy. The file may include metadata already present in the original recording or photo; Roadory does not promise to remove it.

Web pages: opening this hosted policy or following a link makes a web request. The site’s hosting provider receives standard request information, such as the internet IP address and browser request headers, to deliver the page and operate the service. This policy page includes no analytics, advertising scripts, remote fonts or tracking pixels. Its platform detection runs in your browser and is not sent to a server. Links you choose to open are governed by the destination’s policy.

App distribution: Apple and the App Store may independently process download, update and platform-diagnostic information under their own policies. Roadory does not offer account registration or an in-app purchase flow.

We do not sell your dash cam recordings or provide them to advertising services. Third-party advertising data processing is described separately in section 3. We may disclose support correspondence if legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect legal rights; we do not hold a server copy of your recordings that we could retrieve on request.

5. Storage, retention and deletion

• Downloaded files: remain in app storage until you delete them from “On this phone” or remove the app’s data. Removing a download from Roadory does not delete the original on the dash cam or a copy you saved to your photo library or shared elsewhere.
• Camera address: a saved override can be removed by choosing “Use automatic detection” in settings.
• Temporary data: incomplete downloads are removed when a transfer ends without a saved file; startup cleanup also attempts to remove abandoned partial files. Thumbnail caches and Roadory’s connection log are held in process memory rather than a remote log store.
• Camera storage: camera originals remain subject to the camera’s recording and retention behavior. The format-memory-card action deletes the card’s recordings and photos after your confirmation. It does not remove copies already saved on your phone.
• Support correspondence: retained for as long as needed to handle the request and any related legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion of information you sent to us.
• Third-party data: advertising, hosting, email, store and shared-file services apply their own retention policies. Deleting Roadory does not itself delete information those services have already received.

There is no Roadory account to delete. We cannot recover or remotely delete recordings that exist only on your phone or dash cam.

6. Connection security

Roadory connects to the camera over its local Wi-Fi network. The supported camera connection uses HTTP for control, live images and file transfer; this local connection is not protected by HTTPS/TLS. Its security depends on your dash cam and Wi-Fi configuration. Use a trusted network and protect the camera’s Wi-Fi access.

Downloaded files are stored within the app’s private storage and rely on your device’s security protections. Roadory does not add a separate encrypted vault or app-lock feature. Protect your device and consider who can access recordings before saving or sharing them.

The policy page is requested over HTTPS. Google describes its advertising SDK data as encrypted in transit. Local camera transfers and internet advertising requests are different connections and should not be confused. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You choose which camera files to download, save to your photo library or share. You can remove local downloads, clear a remembered camera address, manage system permissions, and revisit available advertising privacy controls.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully performed before it. You may also have a right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Use the controls above for content stored on your devices. For personal information you have sent to us, or questions about these rights, contact luofeiyuo@gmail.com. We may need information to verify and handle your request, but please do not send passwords or unrelated recordings. For data held independently by Google or another service, consult that service’s privacy controls and request process.

8. Children’s privacy

Roadory is intended for people using a vehicle dash cam and is not directed at children. It does not include child profiles or age verification. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a support message, contact us so we can review the situation and arrange deletion where appropriate.

9. Processing by services in other countries

The camera connection and Roadory’s local file storage operate on your own devices. Google advertising services, website hosting, email providers and destinations you choose for sharing may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy policies explain where and how they process information and the protections they apply.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to Roadory or applicable requirements. The current policy will be available at this page with an updated effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a relevant change takes effect.
